Spring Sports Registration

The Elton Community Center will hold Spring Sports Registration on the following evenings:

  • Tuesday, April 19, 7:00pm – 8:00pm
  • Thursday, April 21 7:00pm – 8:00pm
  • Monday, April 25 7:00pm – 8:00pm
  • Wednesday, April 27 7:00pm – 8:00pm

Registration MUST be in person at the Elton Community Center. Please bring cash or cheque; eTransfers and debit transactions will not be made available. Payment must be received in order to secure your registration.

We will follow the same format as previous years, Baseball is Monday evenings and Soccer is Wednesday evenings

Please print and fill out the Spring Sports Registration Form and bring it to registration night.

We would like to thank everyone for making the 2021 Forrest Kings Hockey Season a year to remember! Special thanks to all the ice makers, coaches, assistant coaches and managers for their extra contribution to our program. We sincerely hope that your child enjoyed playing hockey, learning and improving their skills and most importantly, made some new friends.

Hope to see everyone back next season!

NEW Covid-19 Screening/Checking Service

Beginning January 28, 2022 and continuing to the end of the season, Commissionaires Security Services will be performing Covid-19 Screening/Checks during all Public Skating times and hockey activities that occur until 8pm, every weekday and on Saturdays and Sundays. Everyone, who is eligible, must provide proof of vaccination and photo ID, EVERY time you visit the facility.

15U Hockey – Space Available

We are looking to add a few more bodies to our 15U age group for the 2021/22 season. Please remember that this is a Recreational Hockey Program and we do not accept applications from MMHA players.

If you have never played hockey and want to try, this is great place to get that experience. We pride ourselves on creating a fun and friendly experience for all of our participants. Our focus is on building relationships and skills that will last a lifetime.

Coaches and Managers

For those of you that expressed an interest in Coaching or Managing one of our age groups for the 2021/22 season, there is a meeting on Wednesday, November 10 at 7:00pm. We will discuss practice days and times as well as how we plan to operate this season.

2021-22 Forrest Hockey!

Hello Friends and Families of the Elton Community Center! We are pleased to announce that we will be holding hockey registration for RETURNING PLAYERS ONLY, on the following days:

  • Monday, September 20, 2021 7:00pm – 8:00pm
  • Wednesday, September 22, 2021 7:00pm – 8:00pm
  • Tuesday, September 28, 2021 7:00pm – 8:00pm
  • Thursday, September 30, 2021 7:00pm – 8:00pm

Returning Players: As we did not have a season last year, previous enrollment in the 2018/19 season will be used as a reference for returning player status!

Please download and fill out the 2021-22 Hockey Registration Form and bring it with you to the rink on these days; NO FACEBOOK OR ELECTRONIC SUBMISSIONS ACCEPTED! Provincial Regulations will be followed, which means that kids are not required to be vaccinated, however parents/guardians/care giver of participants MUST BE double vaccinated, show proof of vaccination and photo ID. We will reject applications if these Provincial Regulations are not met.

Once Returning Player Registration is complete, we will open applications for NEW PLAYERS on the following days:

  • Tuesday, October 12, 2021 7:00pm – 8:00pm
  • Thursday, October 14, 2021 7:00pm – 8:00pm

2021-22 Hockey Update

Hello Families and Friends of the Elton Community Center,

As we all get ready to get “back to normal” in the coming weeks, the E.C.C Board will be meeting to discuss the 2021-22 Forrest Hockey Season and Registration. With the Covid-19 situation constantly evolving, so to must our approach to this ever changing environment. In the coming weeks, we will release our plan for Registering participants and preparing the facility for hockey operations.

We ask for your patience and understanding during this time of uncertainty. We will make every effort to make the 2021-22 Hockey Season a reality.

The Elton Community Center Executive has made the decision to CLOSE the Forrest Rink for the remainder of the season. We want to extend our thanks to all of the volunteers that assisted in making the ice and want to extend our utmost gratitude to all of the families that donated their 2020/21 Hockey Registration Fees! We truly feel that we have the best kids and families of any program. Thank you very much!

We can only hope that the COVID-19 pandemic measures continue to improve as we look forward to our 2021 Spring Sports Program.
