Hockey/Rink/LTS Update

At this time, we are pleased to say all of our hockey teams  (6U, 8U, 10U and 12U) are FULL!

We look forward to our official start-up so please stay tuned for updates on the ice and schedule for public skate times!

To date, we do not have a Learn to Skate program set but are still working on this. Should you or anyone you know like to volunteer to help, please contact Teresa at !!

Hockey 2017-18 Updates Nov 7

ECC has the following spots available for each listed team:

6U (ages 4,5,6)     =4

8U (ages 7/8) FULL , no spots available

10U (ages 9/10)   =5

12U = FULL , no spots available

ECC Updates

Just a few updates for our members…

1 – Hockey Registration has been completed and any late registrants or inquiries, please contact Teresa at 204-573-1921 or via email at

2 – Families will be contacted by their coaches directly by Nov 15th with season/team information.

3 – At this time ECC is not able to offer learn to skate as we require a volunteer(s) to run the program. This program runs from January until end of ice and the volunteer reports to the ECC Board directly.

If anyone is interested in helping out their community and ECC with the Learn to Skate program, please contact Teresa at or 204-573-1921.

2016-17 Hockey Information

***In person registration has been completed. For all late registrations, please contact Teresa at or 204-573-1921 directly.  Please ensure to have completed registration form(s) and full payment.***

Please be advised that our Hockey program for the upcoming season has been set.

ECC will be holding pre-registration starting SEPTEMBER 18th until SEPTEMBER 29th for RETURNING PLAYERS ONLY.  
Once that has been completed, should there be any open spots remaining (max 16 kids per team/age group); registration will then be open to the general public from OCTOBER 2nd and up until each team has been filled to 16.
We look forward to another successful year of hockey and would like to take this opportunity for any parents interested in coaching or volunteering to please contact Teresa at 204-573-1921 (phone or text) or via email at as soon as possible.
Time & date of in person pre-registration this week will be Monday, Sept 18th from 6-8pm and Wednesday, Sept 20th from 6-8pm.  Further dates will be posted in near future for all registrations dates. 
Below is the required form for completing registration; to note payment is required in full at time of registration. Should you have any questions, please contact Teresa via one of the methods listed above.

Ground Maintenance Tender – close date May 26th at 12pm.

Written tenders for Grounds Maintenance for the Elton Community Center will be accepted by mail or e-mail until 12:00 Noon, Friday May 26th, 2017. Lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.

Duties include:

  1. Mowing grass and edge trimming around entire building on Elton Community Center grounds with no weeds left behind after completion.  (no chemical treatments required. I.E. Round Up Spray)
  2. Mowing and edge trimming must be completed on Sunday’s or Monday’s by 3pm when on 1 time/week requirement and also by Thursday’s when on 2 times/week.   Please note, edge trimming is only required 1 time/week but will be on a “as needed basis” and is the area surrounding the community center building as well as front of the building.
  3. ECC anticipates the following frequency but maintenance will be on a “as needed basis” based upon growth and weather conditions.  (roughly 15-20 cuts per year)

Month of June : 2x/week

Month of July: 1x/week

Month of August:1x/week

For all tenders submitted, please ensure to include full breakdown of “per cut” and “per edge trimming” pricing.

Once tender closes, the ECC Board of Directors will review and contact any successful applicants directly.

ECC has set the date of Tuesday, May 23rd at 5:30 pm for a site meeting to allow any prospective tenders to review the ground and provide any needed clarification regarding the  job requirements.

Spring Sports 2017

Elton Community Center SPRING SPORTS 

Spring is here and are fields are drying up nicely.

We are going to try something a little different this year:) We are forgoing the teaching/skill development, just for kids to go out, learn some basic skills and HAVE FUN!!!! 

Soccer will be held on Monday nights from 6:30 – 7:30

Starting MAY 8, 2017 . Come for 6:00 for a big prep rally!!!

  • 4-10.
  • There will be 3 age groups.
  • Each group will have 2 teams of 10 players. Games will be 5 on 5 with 3 minute shifts.

Baseball will be held on Wednesday nights from 6:30 – 7:30

Starting May 10, 2017 Come for 6:00 for a big prep rally!!!

Ages 4-10.

There will be 3 age groups. Each group will have 2 teams of 10 players.
Baseball will be 10 on 10; run through the batting order each inning for minimum of 5 innings. .


6:00 until 8:00 at ECC. In person ONLY!!   FEE:  $50 

Registrants must specify and commit to which sport they are playing if not both.
